BURGHOPE COTTAGE

All less than two hours’ drive from London.
Living
The large and strikingly beautiful sitting room has an original Bath flagstone floor, a large inglenook fireplace with Clearview wood burner and oak beam. There’s a cosy India Jane blue and cream patterned sofa, a George Smith mohair chair, 42 inch smart TV complete with a Sonos sound system. Patio doors open onto the South facing private front patio so you can bring the outside in on warmer days.
Eating
The full height floor to ceiling architecturally designed French windows really do link the kitchen to the lovely planted patio outside creating a light and calming ambience in which to enjoy cooking and eating your favourite meal. The gorgeous pale green Harvey Jones bespoke units complete with white base granite worktop complements the space beautifully. No expense has been spared either when it comes to appliances with Miele fitted throughout including oven with gas hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A Panasonic microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and Dualit toaster and kettle ensure you have everything you would expect for your time away from home.
Sleeping
Oh my goodness! This absolutely stunning bedroom can be found at the top of the contemporary oak and glass staircase. Spacious and airy, the vaulted ceiling has dual aspect conservation rooflights that flood the room with light whilst the mellow Bathstone walls and oak floor adds real character. There’s a fabulous woodburner too, making the room super cosy at any time of the year. The lovely French inspired King size bed with Vispring mattress is swathed in luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding with goosedown quilt and pillows together with French Bedroom quilt ensures you are guaranteed a blissful night’s sleep. There’s a 42 inch Smart TV and Sonos speaker for when you just want to stay in bed, and a comfy sofa for bedtime reading or relaxing.
Bathing
Next to the bedroom is the most gorgeous bathroom, deliciously warm with underfloor heating. There’s a double ended rolltop bath that’s perfect for long soaks after a day exploring, and a huge walk-in shower with a massive rain head – just what you need to wake up in the morning. There’s also a Sonos speaker so you can listen to your favourite tunes whilst you lather up.
Outside Space
The two lovely patio areas to the front and rear ensure you can enjoy the sun at all times of the day so you can sit out for coffee and breakfast in the morning as well as lunch and dinner later. A beautiful oak gazebo eases the full sun glare on the Jacuzzi hot tub it embraces whilst allowing you to enjoy soaking away some time even if the weather is not so kind. A Weber barbeque is provided for whenever you feel the need for true alfresco dining.
Parking
There is a private off road parking space for one car together with a rapid charging electric car charger.
If you prefer a car free break, there is a frequent half hourly bus service to Bath and Bradford-on-Avon from the end of the lane.
Or you can park at Bradford-on-Avon station car park and take one of the frequent trains to Bath.
